Winford Homecrafters is a custom homebuilding company based in Birmingham, Alabama. The legacy of building premium, high-quality homes has been passed down through four generations of the Winford family.
Our success is attributed to the contributions of many of our family members over the years. In addition to the actual construction of a home, our expertise ranges from designing, supplying brick, bookkeeping, and even providing insurance. We are serious about our work, but we also have a fun time working together.

Whit Winford
OWNER
Whit grew up going to construction sites with his dad and grandfather whenever he had the opportunity. Their influence is what pushed him to get his bachelor’s degree in Building Science from Auburn University. After graduating, Whit worked in commercial construction and then with another Birmingham-based development company.
He started Winford Homecrafters with his dad, Brett. They specialize in custom home building and work together. As Brett prepares for retirement, Whit is continuing the tradition of Winford family home-building.
